César Charlone

Born in 1958 Montevideo and studied at the Academia Internacional de Cinema in São Paulo. He received an Academy Award nomination for his cinematography in Fernando Meirelles’s City of God and a BAFTA nomination for best photography for Meirelles’s The Constant Gardener. The Pope’s Toilet is his directorial debut.
