Olivier Assayas

Born in 1955 in Paris. Son of writer Jacques Rémy; his mother is Hungarian. Graduated from the French National School of Fine Arts (Paris). Member of the jury at the Venice Film Festival in 1994. Was one of the first European to pay attention to the cinema emerging from Asia.
