TITANIC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Titanic International Film Festival regards it especially important to introduce those remarkable, innovative feature fiction films from all around the world that perhaps may never reach Hungarian film distribution. The accepted nominees - together with the films invited by the festival staff - will be screened in different sections according to their themes and region of origin and the works found exceptional can become part of our competition section as well by individual invitation. The best film of the competition section of Titanic - according to the votes of an international jury - receives the prestigious BREAKING WAVES AWARD, which comes with a €8.000 prize. Submitted films should have been produced after the 1st of January 2008 and should not have been screened in Hungary previously. We welcome fiction films, which are longer than 70 minutes.

Remarks
We are expecting submissions on screener DVDs, and if the movie is in other language than Hungarian or English, subtitling is a further condition - either in Hungarian or English. The festival will not send the screener copies back.
Questions that may emerge after acceptance of application (director's participation, procurement of prints, festival sections, press, films in competition, etc.) will be discussed individually through personal correspondence.
