Titanic sets sail next month!

Movie-goers may again choose from a number of bold and unique films at the 16th Titanic International Film Festival between 26 March – 5 April, 2009. The submission deadline for the 16th Titanic Film Festival has ended. The complete programme is due to be announced int he middle of March.

We have a new festival venue this year: Vörösmarty Cinema, which hosted the festival for two years, is replaced now by a new cinema called KINO.

KINO opened as a successor to the former Szindbád Cinema (1137 Budapest, Szent István krt. 37.) in September 2008. Now the cinema runs with a new staff and a brand new profile. It does not only host film screenings, but also gives place to theatrical performances, exhibitions and various discussive programmes. We are happy to announce that this year KINO serves as a port for our boatload of films as well.

The other venues are Toldi Cinema, which has been hosting the festival from the very beginning, Örökmozgó Filmmuseum, and Uránia National Film Theatre, which again functions as festival centre. They all offer various discounts and welcome the enthusiastic movie fans with great festival feeling.
