Ambitious animation film in which several of the best of today's illustrators and comic-strip artists under the inspired supervision of Etienne Robial, artistic director of Canal+ take out their imagination and fabulous technique - often in black and white - on the theme of fear. Here everything comes down to fears - real or imaginary fears and primaeval fears of the dark, often resembling the tales of William Burroughs, the body horror shocks of David Cronenberg, J-horror and the surreal panic of David Lynch. The films made use of what is known as the Animatic technique, in which storyboards form the basis for complex computer calculations.
