Based on tales by Julio Cortázar, the film tells the story of Jorge and Nora, how their brother Pablo vanishes in Paris and how they make up his adventures through letters, draws and presents to their mother; how they protect this world of childish illusion from exterior threats, even at the cost of their personal desires. It´s a film full of words, both spoken and written. Words which mean more in what they conceal than in what they say. It´s also the story of a house gradually dismantled to maintain a dream. It´s, in some way, a ghost story.

„The film revisits the timeless and fascinating universe of Julio Cortazar, which describes the life of certain social circles in the golden ages of Argentina. Made Up Memories is a humourous portrait of a family capable of betraying what they are while striving to attain what they aspire to be.” (Diego Sabanés)
