The story portraying the strange life of neurotic New Yorker, Kip, may remind the Hungarian audience of this year’s Hungarian Film Week-favourite,
A Nyomozó, by Attila Gigor, or of the first feature of Danny Boyle, Shallow Grave. “I wanted to make a film that confuses the viewers with its unexpected twists in the story.”
“I like order too, but not in a neurotic way” - answered the young director to the question if she had any type of mania, like her protagonist. Interestingly, the film’s budget was just about a million dollars, and it was partly shot in Douglas Dye’s own apartment.
Body/Antibody starts at 10 p.m. on Friday April 11th in Toldi cinema. There will be a Q&A session with the director about herself and the film after the film.
All are welcome!
