World premiere at Titanic!

We are recommending two films of Titanic’s today program, whose filmmakers give a Q&A after the screening: our guests are Jean Achache, the director of A Night int he Club, and Yvette  Bozsik and Marcell Iványi, makers of the film Souldance.

The protagonist of Achache’s film, the once internationally acclaimed bar and jazz pianist, is undergoing a crisis and is forced to face the demons of the past he thought he had already forgotten. The French movie can be seen at 20.30 at Örökmozgó Film Museum. The screening will be followed by a Q&A.

Souldance is the only fully Hungarian production at this year’s Titanic. Iványi Marcell’s staggering dance film based on Bozsik Yvette’s performance given by artists of the Bozsik Yvette Company cooperating with the handicapped and blind members of the Tánceánia Group and the Gördülő Dance Group. The world premiere of the movie starts at 16.30 in KINO.

Furthermore, we would like to call your attention to an Austrian thriller from the Dark Side section: the Oscar nominated, Hitchcock-inspired Revanche by Götz Spielmann screened in Uránia at 17.45. In today’s competition period the sweeping Chinese war film, the City of Life and Death can be seen at 20.15 in Uránia Film Theatre.
