Today we screened the French movie
Donoma which presents the new acquaintances of three separate female characters. The first feature of
Djinn Carrénard, who incorporates almost every filmmaking function all by himself, promises an exceptional experience through the credible performance of its half-amateur actors. The trailer, mixing a variety of differing styles and visuals can be viewed
here.
Conor Horgan, the director of the Irish movie
One Hundred Mornings also accompanies his film. His work, which has quite a festival and award career behind, is an unconventional post-apocalyptic story. Following the total social breakdown, two couples attempt to survive on lean supply, away from the outside world. Obviously, the more and more hopeless, bleak situation brings forward the personal conflicts. The film is Hungarian related: the post-production was completed in the Hungarian Film Lab, while local production company, Cor Leonis was in charge of the coordination. The exciting teaser can be seen
here, and the film is screened at18:00 at Toldi.
Snap is an Irish drama of a twisted structure that reminds of the dogma films and tells the story of a family wrecked mentally. The film, partly in documentarist style, aspires to represent the shocking reality with all the more cruelty. After the screening we’ll have
Martina Niland producer as our guest. The trailer can be seen
here, the movie is screened at 20:30 at Örökmozgó. (The film has a second screening on 10th on Sunday, also attended by the producer.)
