BBC, known for its high quality productions, has produced a film about the serial killer called “Ipswich ripper” and his five victims. Based on a true story, the fiction features three girls who are drug addicts prostituting themselves in the street until they get killed.
The style of the movie can be characterised as an exciting mix, since it is partly the reconstruction of the events as filed by the police, while we can see a real thriller. The Raindance Film Festival has awarded the movie in two categories.

Incredibly Small comes to us from the USA. Anne and Amir are totally different, yet they plan their life together. They move in to a 28 m2 hole where they have to face their uncertainty about their decision. The film balances between the ’woodyalllen’-type humour and a touching drama. (

Flooding with Love for the Kid. David Morrell’s novel, First Blood inspired this picture, just as the first Rambo film. Zachary Oberzan, the one-member crew of the film has run the risk of shooting the whole novel in his own flat. The brave undertaking will be screened with a supporting film.
Stanley Pickle is a short film made with the usage of stop-trick technique creating a magic visual world. Its main character, though only 20, is completely isolated from the outside world. His life begins to change as a result of a wonderful encounter. The films are screened on April 9th at 20:00 and April 13th at 18:30 at Toldi. (

There Once Was an Island is a staggering documentary. Takuu is a small island situated on the south-western part of the Pacific Ocean. It goes through the effects of climate change literally ‘on its own skin’. The three locals, Teloo, Endar and Satty offer an insight into the life of the miniature continent and its unique culture. The principal question is whether to move to Bougainville where they have to face an unpredictable future or to stay on Takuun, and get prepared for a battle doomed to end tragically? The movie refusing to gather data and figures is the result of the cooperation of two enthusiastic climate researchers. It can be seen only once on April 12th at 20:30 at Örökmozgó. (
