A funny story was told by the producer,
Tobias Tobbell at the Q&A of
The Drummond Will. As we learned from the young man, it took them a long time to find the house which is the central character of the film, but it was even more difficult to convince the owner whose ex-wife further complicated the beginning of the shooting.
He also told us that they had decided for the black and white, because it made the movie, which was quite raw otherwise, more elegant and subtle. Further on, Mark Oosterveen who plays the main character, is said to have played John Cleese earlier in a theatrical play. The policeman appearing in the movie had also wanted the role, which explains why here he is trying to become more John Cleese-like than his partner. Tobias talked about a hostage drama as his next project, while the director is planning a conspiracy film about 9/11. Looking forward to it!
