Titanic International Film Festival, with all its means, joins in for the general support of Japan: on the occasion of the screening of
Haru’s Journey, we’re organising a charity together with the Japanese Foundation to help the earthquake victims.
Haru’s Journey Japanese film in competition is screened on
April 14th at 20.00 at Uránia and we really hope that many spectators will donate as much as their means allow them.
Haru’s Journey evokes such traditional Japanese values as tolerance or responsibility for the family, all this in the frame of a relationship between a young girl and her grandfather. There are several scenes in the movie, especially in the Miyagi prefecture, which was erased by the devastating disaster of March 11th. The director,
Kobayashi Masahiro asked the festival organisers in a letter to offer half of the screening fee to the locals of the regions concerned. His message will be heard before the screening.
Haru’s Journey will be screened again on April 16th, Saturday at Uránia.
